Pumpkin Show Souvenir Playing Cards - 2011 Pumpkin Show
For 2011 we dibbed back in to the world of playing cards for a new souvenir deck.

2011 Pumpkin Show Playing CardsThis year we went a little more traditional and created the 2011 Circleville Pumpkin Show Souvenir Deck.  Normally we create the fancy decks with card faces that have unique card faces.  The problem then is we kept having folks wanting us to create a "normal" deck of cards that they could use for everyday purposes.  So that's what we did.  We created the 2011 Pumpkin Show deck with a unique card back design showing a view of the Pickaway County Courthouse behind a view of a Ferris wheel.  Most of the card faces are "normal", but we just could not resist on the jokers, so we put a unique photo of the 2 famous pumpkin "towers" on 2 of them.  One is the jokers "Pumpkin Water Tower" that you can see as you approach Circleville.  The other joker features a view of the "pumpkin tower" that is built on the streets during the Pumpkin Show.

Pumpkin Show Jigsaw Puzzle - 2009 Pumpkin Show
In 2009 we ventured into the puzzle world with our first ever jigsaw puzzle.

Pumpkin Show Jigsaw Puzzle

This 500 piece puzzle (15" x 17") features a modern scene of the famous pumpkin tower located near the corner of Court St. and Main St. in downtown Circleville.  Around the edges of the puzzle it showcases a variety of vintage "Pumpkin Show" images that help celebrate not only the unique history of this local festival, but the excitement that has happened every year for over 100 years in Cirlceville, Ohio.

The 500 piece aspect of this puzzle may make this puzzle seem pretty simple, but the outer images of antique pictures makes it a little more difficult, not to mention the pumpkin and sky are that add more fun.  For the experenced puzzle makers this is one to get and have a little fun with.

Pumpkin Show Pets on Parade Playing Cards - 2008 Pumpkin Show
In 2008 we a deck of Pumpkin Show Pets on Parade Playing Cards

Pets on Parade Playing Cards

In 2007 we took photos for a deck of Pet's on Parade for the Circleville Pumpkin Show.  What we did was take pictures of various animals during the Pumpkin Show parade and even more when owners brought their pets by our booth.  From those images we are creating our first edition of "Pets on Parade - Pumpkin Show" playing cards that were released the first day of the 2008 Pumpkin Show.  While no one in the general public knew who made it into the deck, everyone was able to pick up a deck at this years Pumpkin Show.  Even the animal owners themselves did NOT know who will be in the deck!  It was a mystery and part of the fun.

Circleville Playing Cards - 2005 Pumpkin Show

In 2005 the pumpkin scarecrow was seen sitting on a fence with a farm scene in the background (see image to left).  In 2006 the pumpkin scarecrow actually visited the Pumpkin Show!

The deck has a limited edition printing of only 4,000 decks.  There are about a few hundred still floating around Circleville so if you want to try to snag a deck you'll have to check out one of the current locations to see if they have any left.  If they do, I'm sure it's not too many.

Circleville Playing Cards - 2004 Pumpkin Show
Printed normal deck with a fun tin, this item is now SOLD OUT

Circleville Pumpkin Show 2004 Playing CardsThe first deck o playing cards  was sold in 2004 and was featured in a matching tin.  The tin featured a teddy bear holding a pumpkin.  There are a few of these left at Newt's Playing Cards, but I'm sure with all of the buzz they won't last long.  There were only 500 of these decks printed.  Each one is numbered and signed by the owner, James Esteph.

The 2004 deck is officially sold out unless a few more appear on a merchants shelf that they find in the back room or something.

The second decks was really a deck from Circleville, Oh which featured images from The Pumpkin Show.

In 2005 the "pumpkin scarecrow" was introduced on the back of a deck playing cards about Circleville, OH (see image to left).  The deck featured a unique souvenir set-up on the faces that had 54 unique photos of the Circleville area.  The deck of cards were a HUGE hit and are still available in very limited quantities at various locations.

Quick Fact
The early shows took up about 3 city blocks.  Today's BIG show takes up 8 city blocks!

Pumpkin Show Photos
We still need your help!  We need photos from old Pumpkin Shows.  The one we have been trying to work on the most is the 70s.  We would love to do a deck of cards featuring photos of what the Pumpkin Show looked like in the 70s.
