History of Pumpkin Show Playing Cards

BRIEF HISTORY
---- B
ack in 2004 Newt's Playing Cards published its first deck of Pumpkin Show Playing Cards.  The deck was just normal cards in a metal tin.  There are limited quantities of these available at Newt's Playing Cards.
---- After seeing how well folks responded to the cards they came back with a new deck in 2005 that featured old time photos from past scenes in Circleville, including some of the early Pumpkin Shows.  This deck was carried by various stores in town and has already sold more than 5000 decks.  There are limited quantities of these available at Newt's Playing Cards.
---- In 2006 we introduced another souvenir deck that featured images from the first 50 years of the Circleville Pumpkin Show.   The deck was a HUGE success with more than 3000 decks sold.  The deck was sold through various stores in town, some of the stores still have a few of these in stock.
---- We also teamed up with Circleville Gifts in 2006 and introduced "The Mural Deck" which includes not only the 100th Anniversary Mural on the card back, but a few other unique paintings from mural artist, Eric Henn.  There are limited quantities of these available at Circleville Gifts and Newt's Playing Cards.
---- Ohio became the theme for 2007 as we introduced a deck of Buckeye Playing Cards.  The deck features folk lore, history and tons of other information about the Ohio Buckeye.
-----The 2008 deck was called "Pets on Parade" and featured various animals from the 2007 Pumpkin Show Pet Parade.  This was our first LIMITED EDITION deck with only 1000 decks printed.

So we invite you to stick around and check out a little of the history of Pumpkin Show Playing Cards.
